Office signs need very little care to keep looking their best. For acrylic reception signs, a soft microfibre cloth and a little warm, soapy water is all you need. Avoid paper towels, abrasive pads and strong solvents, as these can cause fine scratches or cloud the surface.

Bespoke metal office signs are just as easy to look after. Wipe brushed stainless steel in the direction of the grain with a damp cloth, then dry it to avoid water marks. Brass and copper can be lacquered to protect the finish, and a gentle dusting keeps them gleaming.

For illuminated signs, switch the sign off and let it cool before cleaning, and keep moisture away from cables and drivers.
